Please scroll down to view photos from today!

Today we went to the Anderson UMC, which was great!  The choir is TOTALLY awesome; they have even cut a professional CD.  We had lunch with their youth group and some of the other members.  Then we drove for several hours to Alabama, dodging hurricanes and huge hungry gators all the way (just kidding!).  The weather was great, but hot and muggy.  We went to see the house we're going to work on, made some plans for tomorrow, went to Cracker Barrel, then went to the church where we're staying, which is where we are now!  Our closing devotion tonight was based on 1 Corinthians 12, we are all one in the body of Christ, and the importance of including in our "circle" more and more people, and "moving over" in the circle to make room for people who are new to us or different from us.  We hope that we will grow in our experiences and also in the love of Christ!  Thanks for your support!  Feel free to share this ongoing web page with your friends and relatives so that they can enjoy our trip right alongside of us too!

Pictures
Words of Greeting from a few of the youth (with some suggested editorial fun additions):

Leah says, "Hey Emma & Zach!  Don't forget to pick up my room for me.  And don't forget to mow.  OK, I miss you. But this is the only time I"ll admit it."

Baillie says, "I don't know what to say.  Umm... I miss everyone, but I'm having fun.  Love you all!

Mallory says, "The house looks like a challenge, and the bugs are awful.  The rattlesnakes are HUGE!!!!  But I think we'll manage; went to Walmart and got a snakebite kit.  Love you and miss you.  Don't worry.

Anonymous says, "These southern men are so romantic!"

Andrea says, "It is so hot I'm dying.  But don't worry.  Just in case there is a cemetery near to the church.  Miss you and love you all.

Jeff says, "I love driving the big vans.  I didn't get to drive last time.  My sleep apnea is so much better that I only need to take short naps on the straight roads now.

Kaelee says, "I want to grow up to be a real sweet-talking southern belle.  I'm changing my major.  To the folks back home, Dalton, be good.  And love ya'll.  "Ya'll!"  See?  I'm talkin' southern already, ya'll!

Sam says, "I want to make bracelets out of hemp and work in rice fields for a living and go on a game show with movie titles."

These pictures are a few of the house "before."  We stopped by there today to see what was needed.  For starters, it needs a roof.  And since it doesn't have that anymore (after the huge tree landed on it) it also needs new walls and floors.  The yard is in good shape, though, or will be once we cut it and clear the junk out of it.  The woman who lived there (and hopes to again) is over 80 years old.  We hope to meet her tomorrow; her name is June.
