The Camp Point United Methodist Church is an active, friendly, Christ-centered and mission-minded church.  The church has received two conference-wide awards in recent years in recognition of its ambitious mission work, and is a place full where each person is encouraged to grow closer every day to Jesus Christ.
We average about 150 people in worship, which is an informal blend of contemporary and traditional.  We have a nursery, children's church, and many programs for all ages.

The Camp Point "Mission Extravanganza" in the summer of 2004 resulted in over 9500 pounds of built and donated desks and schoolroom supplies for the children of Haiti.  The church won a missions award for the massive one-day event. 

We have an active youth group!  We take mission trips every other year; the picture at left is from the trip to South Dakota at Red Bud Mission in 1997  In 1999 we went to Baldwin, Louisiana to work at the UMCOR Distribution Center. We went to North Carolina tin 2001 to rebuild after hurricane damage there, and in 2003 we went to Abbeyville, Louisiana to rebuild a home.
